JBLM Run to Remember
The JBLM Run to Remember is an endurance event held at Joint Base Lewis McChord in Washington. Organized in recognition of Memorial Day, this annual event takes place at the Lewis North Athletic Complex, situated near 17th and I Street. The event features a combination of running and physical fitness challenges designed for community participation.
Participants can take part in an endurance run on a flat one-mile loop around the complex. This format allows individuals to complete as many miles as they choose within the three-hour event window. In addition to the endurance run, the event hosts The Murph Challenge, which consists of specific physical exercises:
- 1 mile run
- 100 pullups
- 200 pushups
- 300 squats
- 1 mile run
The Murph Challenge may be performed with or without a 20 lb vest or body armor. Registration for the event is free and includes a custom bib and a silicone bracelet for participants. The day's schedule includes a presentation of colors, the National Anthem, and opening remarks prior to the start of the physical activities.
