Brighter Day 5k Run/Walk
The Brighter Day 5k Run/Walk is scheduled for May 1, 2027 at Washington Lake Park in Sewell, New Jersey. The event supports a fund that provides resources and promotes awareness, understanding, and compassion for individuals in minority and underserved communities affected by mental health challenges and related addictions.
Distances offered:
- 5K run with accurate course measurement and chip timing
- 1 mile walk untimed
The 5K course runs through Washington Lake Park, which spans 330 acres. The race will start and finish near the Amphitheater. Parking is available in Lot E, which is closest to the Amphitheater.
Registration uses tiered online pricing beginning at $25 and rising in later registration windows; day of registration is $40. Shirts are guaranteed to pre-registered runners who sign up by April 17, 2027; remaining shirts will be distributed on a first come first served basis.
Timing and awards: the 5K is timed with chip timing. Cash prizes include $50 for first place overall male and female. Age group awards go to the top male and female finishers in these groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 plus.
