Brighter Day 5k Run/Walk
The Brighter Day 5k Run/Walk takes place on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Washington Lake Park in Sewell, NJ. The event supports advancing mental health access and awareness in minority and underserved communities by providing resources and promoting understanding and compassion.
The schedule includes a chip timed 5K run and an untimed 1 mile walk. The 5K course is described as accurately measured and runs through Washington Lake Park, a 330 acre municipal park that was developed with municipal funding and assistance from the NJ Green Acres Program and dedicated in 1992.
Start and finish are located near the Amphitheater. Parking is available in Lot E, which is closest to the Amphitheater. Registration fees vary by date and day of registration; in-person registration opens at 8:00am on race day.
Prizes include a $50 cash award for the first place overall male and female finishers. Age group awards are given to the top male and female in these groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 plus. Overall winners are determined by gun time and age group awards are determined by chip time.
