Jared Anez Eagle Lake Race Series : Willmar, MN
The event is a one-day race series held in Willmar, Minnesota at 2701 30th ST NE. The program includes a half marathon, a 5K run/walk, a free kids fun run, and a two-person bean bag tournament. Additional race t-shirt purchases are available online through July 18; a limited supply of shirts and sizes will be sold at packet pick-up and on race day. Registered half marathon and 5K participants receive a race T-shirt with their packet if registered by July 18.
The half marathon covers 13.1 miles, is part of the Glacial Lakes Championship Running Series, and awards series points, a finisher’s medal, and a finisher’s gift. The course is supported for three hours; runners who continue after that period are treated as self-supported and are not guaranteed an official finish time. All in-person participants are eligible for overall and age-group awards.
The 5K accepts runners and walkers; strollers and wagons are allowed and pets are not permitted. The Kids Fun Run is free for children 10 and under, finishes under the same arch used by the other races, and each participant receives a ribbon; registration is optional. The bean bag tournament accepts two-person teams, has a registration fee noted for team entry, accepts same-day registration before the event when space allows, and will move indoors to the Big Red Gym if weather is unfavorable.
Proceeds support scholarships for high school students pursuing post-secondary STEM education; recent contributions and cumulative totals are part of the event record. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
