2026 Jared Anez Eagle Lake Race Series
The Jared Anez Eagle Lake Race Series takes place in Willmar, Minnesota, held in memory of a local community member. The event features several athletic activities, including road races and a social sports tournament. Proceeds from the series support memorial scholarships for high school students pursuing education in STEM fields.
The event offers the following distances and activities:
- 13.1 Miles (Half Marathon)
- 5K
- Kids Fun Run
- Bean Bag Tournament (2-person teams)
The 13.1 Miles course is part of the Glacial Lakes Championship Running Series, and finishers receive a medal and a gift. The course is supported for up to 3 hours. Runners and walkers are welcome in the 5K, and strollers or wagons are permitted on this course, though pets are not allowed.
Participants in the running events who register by July 18 are guaranteed a race t-shirt. The Kids Fun Run is open to children aged 10 and under, with each participant receiving a ribbon at the finish line located at 2701 30th ST NE. The 2-person team bean bag tournament is held outdoors, with an indoor alternative available in the Big Red Gym in case of unfavorable weather. On-site amenities include an ice cream truck for participants and spectators.
