Event Overview
The Jamestown Triathlon is a multisport event held near historic Williamsburg, Virginia. It is next to the original Jamestown Settlement and serves as the USA Triathlon Virginia State Championships.
Race Distances and Formats
The event offers both Olympic and Sprint distance races, as well as Aquabike (swim-bike) and relay options.
Olympic Distance Events:
- Jamestown Olympic Triathlon (Individual): 1.5k swim, 40k bike, 10k run
- Jamestown Olympic Aquabike (Individual): 1.5k swim, 40k bike
- Jamestown Olympic Triathlon Relay: For teams of 2 or 3 people
Sprint Distance Events:
- Jamestown Sprint Triathlon (Individual): 750m swim, 20k bike, 5k run
- Jamestown Sprint Aquabike (Individual): 750m swim, 20k bike
- Jamestown Sprint Triathlon Relay: For teams of 2 or 3 people
All events are open to participants aged 12 and over.
Course Details
The swim takes place at Jamestown Beach. The bike course is described as flat and parallels the Cap-Cap bike trail along Route 5. The run course winds through historic farmland and forest on a combination of bike paths and jogging trails.
Additional Information
The event is sanctioned by USA Triathlon (USAT). Registration includes a finisher medal, event tech shirt, custom race socks, timed results, and other items.
