Jamestown Triathlon : June 7, 2026, Williamsburg, VA
The Jamestown Triathlon is scheduled for June 7, 2026 at 2205 Jamestown Road, Williamsburg, VA 23185. The event offers Olympic-distance and Sprint-distance races, aquabike options, and relay team entries. The Sprint and Olympic races serve as the USA Triathlon Virginia State Championships and provide qualifying slots for the Toyota Age Group National Championships (top 35% or top five finishers in an age group, whichever is greater). High school athletes who finish any State High School Championship will automatically qualify for Sprint-distance nationals if they are at least age 15 as of December 31, 2025.
Courses, starts and event features
The swim takes place at Jamestown beach on the James River; wildlife such as osprey and dolphins have been noted along the course. The bike course is described as flat and parallels the Cap-Cap bike trail along Route 5. The run follows bike paths and jogging trails through farmland and forest. The event is sanctioned by USA Triathlon and follows USAT competitive rules. Swim starts use a time trial format, starting two athletes every few seconds, with an Elite Box Start option for top competitors.
