About the race

The Jamesport Triathlon takes place on July 11, 2027, at South Jamesport Beach in Riverhead, New York. The course uses local shoreline and roads on Long Island’s North Fork.

The race format combines swim, bike and run segments on a single-day course: athletes start with a 500 meter swim in Peconic Bay, continue with a 25 kilometer bike through local towns, villages and North Fork farmland, and finish with a 5 kilometer run through the seaside community of Jamesport that returns to the beach.

Event formats listed by the organizer include individual adult and high school triathlons, AquaBike (swim and bike only), adult and high school relays, a family relay and a virtual triathlon. The family relay should consist of one or two adults and one or two high school aged athletes, with a maximum team size of three. A dedicated charity entry option donates 100 percent of that entry fee to the event beneficiary.
