The Jamaica Q 5K Walk/Run is a USATF certified 5 kilometer event held in Jamaica, Queens with start and finish at York College Performing Arts Center. The course highlights Downtown Jamaica’s commercial corridors and several historic landmarks within the neighborhood. Net proceeds will be donated to a local community or educational program, to be determined.
All participants receive a race day T-shirt and a finisher medal. On-course amenities include water stations, porta potties, and free mobile lockers while supplies last. Awards are presented to the top three overall finishers in male, female, and X categories, top three finishers by age group across standard divisions, and a company award for the most participation.
Registration options include individual entries for the 5K and team registration for groups of 15 or more, which qualify for a group rate. Personalized bib numbers are assigned about three weeks before race day. Registration fees are nonrefundable and minors must be accompanied by an adult.
The event provides live online, email, and text results plus same-day finish line photos and video. Parking is available at Midblock Garage, located about three blocks from the race start at 89-35 162nd Street in Jamaica, NY; a parking fee applies.
