The Jaime Pinaire 5K Race & Fun Run is a community event held at Chatham High School in New Jersey. The event serves as a memorial for an athlete and educator who graduated from the local high school. All proceeds from the race benefit the James A. Pinaire III Foundation, which provides scholarship support to students with financial need, including graduates of Chatham High School and Robert Treat Academy.
The event offers several participation options:
- 5K Run/Walk (3.1 miles)
- 1 Mile Fun Run
- Virtual 5K Run/Walk
- Virtual 1 Mile Fun Run
The in-person 5K race is professionally timed by Compuscore, and results are posted online following the event. The course is open to all participants, including experienced runners and first-time participants. Families, students, and community members are welcome to attend. The event also permits dogs and running strollers.
Participants who register by May 10, 2026, receive a special 10th-anniversary race shirt. For those participating in person, packet pickup is available at Chatham High School on May 29 and May 30. Virtual participants may have their shirts mailed if the shipping fee is included during registration. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
