Jail Break 5K - St. Augustine (October 24, 2026)
The Jail Break 5K is a charity road event centered at The Old Jail, 167 San Marco Avenue, St. Augustine, FL 32084. Proceeds benefit Investing in Kids (INK!), an organization that supports programs, teacher resources, and classroom needs for St. Johns County public schools.
The in-person event uses a USATF certified 5K course, starting at The Old Jail, running along Magnolia Avenue and over the Vilano Bridge toward the Atlantic Ocean. Shuttle transportation will be provided at the finish to return participants to the start. Water stations are located at the start, the 1 mile mark, the 2 mile mark, and the finish. The course certification number is FL17069TY.
A virtual 5K option is available; virtual participants may submit results and may pick up race swag at the packet pick up on October 23 or have it shipped after the event. There are no awards for the virtual division.
Amenities listed include a finisher medal, a commemorative t-shirt, a themed course and a Halloween costume contest, refreshments, and family-oriented activities. T-shirt availability and sizes are guaranteed only for registrations completed by September 30, 2026.
Awards will be given to overall male and female finishers and the top three finishers in standard age-group categories. The event uses disposable electronic timing tags; printed results will be posted at the race site and live online. INK reserves the right to cancel or postpone the event in cases of inclement weather or emergency; in such cases there will be no refunds.
