Jacobsburg State Park 5K Trail Run/Walk
This event is a 5K trail run and walk on the Homestead Trail at Jacobsburg State Park in Nazareth, PA. Proceeds will support a Wreaths Across America project run by a local school club; funds will sponsor wreaths to be laid on veterans' graves at Holy Family Cemetery in December 2027.
The course is on park trails. Participants may park in the Environmental Center parking area or the main parking lot. Amenities include indoor bathrooms nearby, a water station at the start and finish line, an additional water station at the midway point, and light refreshments at the finish such as fruit, snacks, water, and bagels. T-shirts are available to early registrants in adult sizes S to XL and kids sizes S to L; special sizes may be accommodated upon request.
Awards include prizes for best times in age brackets and a costume contest with two categories, Most Patriotic and Most Holiday Spirit, with prizes for one adult and one child in each category. The event also supports veteran services through collections of nonperishable food for a veteran food bank and a rock painting activity for a local veterans support house; art supplies and rocks are donated by a local landscaping company.
