Event overview
The Jackrabbit Run 5K & 10K is scheduled for May 9, 2026 in Copperas Cove, Texas. The event is hosted by the Copperas Cove Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau and is part of the Cen-Tex Race Series. The run offers chip timing and two distance options:

The course passes through the Ogletree Gap area and includes rolling hills and a notable uphill section. Awards include medals for the top three finishers in each age group and recognition for overall male and female champions.
Logistics and entries
General entry fee is $35 for each distance. Registration opens December 31, 2025. The first 150 registrants receive a free t-shirt; registering by April 7 is listed as the deadline to guarantee a shirt in the requested size. Packet pick-up is available May 8 and May 9 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Copperas Cove Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau, 204 E. Robertson Ave., Copperas Cove. Additional morning packet pick-up is offered at the race site, 1878 Post Office Rd., Copperas Cove.
