Jackalope Race : Doña Ana County, New Mexico
The Jackalope Race will take place in Doña Ana County, New Mexico, on October 18, 2026. The event features mountain bike, gravel, and trail run options that use the same general course. The route starts in south Doña County from Mesquite, heads north toward Las Cruces and Tortugas Mountain, and returns via the Sierra Vista Trail.
Trail run distances include:
- 20K (about 12 miles)
- 45K (about 28 miles)
MTB and gravel distances include:
- 12 miles beginner loop
- 28 miles medium course
- 40 miles full course
MTB and gravel riders use the same course but compete in separate categories based on bike setup, with flat bars versus drop bars noted as different categories. Podiums are awarded to the top three men and top three women in each distance, each discipline category (TRAIL, MTB, GRAVEL), and in the following age groups: under 18, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+. The entry cost is listed as $65.00.
