15th Annual Fill the Shoes 5K
The 15th annual Fill the Shoes 5K is scheduled for November 7, 2026 at Hayfield Park, 7611 Hayfield Rd, Alexandria, VA. The event raises funds for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network; net proceeds will go directly to support its work on research and patient support.
The course is a three-loop route that starts and finishes in Hayfield Park and is run clockwise. Official timing and scoring will be provided by Reston Road Runners; race times and results will be available on site after the event and posted online within 24 hours.
Registration is available online until November 5 and has staged pricing: $30 through October 12, $35 through November 5, and $40 for packet pickup or same-day registration, payable by cash or check for on-site registration. Packet pickup is available on Friday, November 6 at Fill the Shoes HQ, 7628 Hayfield Rd, and on race morning at Hayfield Park.
All participants receive a custom race shirt and sponsor goodies. Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers and to the top three male and female finishers in each age group: Under 10, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70 and over. A post-race gathering will include food and raffle prizes.
Event parking includes street parking within Hayfield Farm with some restrictions and additional parking at the shopping center at Hayfield and Telegraph Roads and at Hayfield Elementary School. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
