About the race
The fourth annual Feed a Veteran 5K takes place on November 7, 2026 at Old Hickory Golf Course, 11921 Chanceford Dr, Woodbridge, VA 22192. The event is organized with community partners to raise money and provide hot meals, winter survival kits, and suicide prevention program support for homeless veterans in Washington, D.C.
The event uses a 3.1 mile road course on an enclosed golf cart path. Events offered include:
- 5K - 3.1 Miles
- 1 Mile Fun Run - 1 Mile
Online registration opens February 4, 2026 and has tiered fees for the 5K and 1 Mile events; a youth entry option is available at a lower fee. Online registration will close on race morning at 7:45 am and in person registration is available during packet pickup and on race day. Registered participants receive a commemorative bib, a custom poly cotton race shirt, and a finisher medal. Packets are available for pick up on Friday, November 6 at Fleet Feet Sports and on race morning at the race site.
Timing is provided by Blue Cheetah Sports Timing, LLC. Awards based on chip time recognize top overall finishers and age group winners across multiple age brackets. After the event participants and volunteers assemble sandwiches, soup, and winter kits that are delivered to veterans after the race.
