About the race
The Feed a Veteran 5K is the third annual community road race held at Old Hickory Golf Course in Woodbridge, Virginia. The event includes running and walking options and is organized with community partners to raise funds and provide hot meals, winter survival kits, and suicide prevention program support for homeless veterans in the Washington, D.C. area. Participants and volunteers will assemble sandwiches and soup after the race for delivery to veterans, and will pack winter survival kits containing items such as hygiene supplies, gloves, socks, and blankets for distribution in December.
The race will be professionally timed by Blue Cheetah Sports Timing, LLC. Free finish line photos will be posted online within a few hours after the event. Registration opened on February 4, 2026; registration deadlines and fees vary by category. Online and in-person registration options are available, with on-site packet pickup and day-of registration offered during packet pickup periods.
Packet pickup is available Friday, November 6 at Fleet Feet Sports in Woodbridge and on race morning at the event site. Registered entrants receive a commemorative bib, a custom poly-cotton race shirt, and a finisher medal. Age-group awards are given based on chip time, including overall top finishers and multiple age divisions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
