Marshall Rotary Jack-O-Jog
Marshall Rotary Club presents the second annual Jack O Jog on October 24, 2026, in Marshall, Illinois. The event takes place at the Plum Street and 8th Street parking lot and centers on family-oriented Halloween activities and safety for children.
The program includes multiple short distance options:
- 1 mile walk
- 5K run, three laps of the one mile loop
- Kids dash, approximately 150 yards, free for K through 6th grades
The course runs on 7th and 8th streets with hanging pumpkins, lights, and Halloween decorations along the route. The 5K uses the same one mile loop repeated three times. Costumes are encouraged and tennis shoes are required.
Children who participate in the kids dash will receive a goodie bag at the finish that includes a wearable safety item for trick-or-treating. The kids dash is free; registration is required for the dash. Walkers and runners receive a participation medal and a t-shirt.
Entry fees listed by the organizer indicate a fee for the walk and 5K and no fee for the kids dash.
