Event overview
Jack & Jill's Downhill Marathon is a two-day event held July 25-26, 2026, in North Bend, Washington (44701 SE North Bend Way). The event offers a full marathon and a half marathon on both days. The marathon distance is 26.2 miles and the course is USATF sanctioned. The course is listed among the world’s top 25 fastest courses and times can be used to qualify for Boston.
Course and race operations
The course runs largely downhill with a net drop of about 2,000 feet over the marathon distance. Runners pass through the Snoqualmie Tunnel and follow roughly 23 miles of gradual descent along the Cascade to the Palouse Trail on a hard-packed, shaded dirt and gravel surface. Marathon runners must carry a light for the tunnel. The start uses a rolling, pace-group format with about one minute between waves. Aid stations are placed at roughly 2.5-mile intervals and provide water, Gatorade, and GU gels at select stations. Bib transfer between runners is prohibited.
Logistics, packet pickup, and policies
Shuttle service: there is no shuttle to the marathon start; half-marathon runners use shuttle buses to the trailhead and then walk about 1 mile to the start. There is no parking at the half start, trailhead, or finish; return shuttles return runners to original parking locations. Packet pickup is at Snoqualmie Running Company, 38843 SE Newton St, Snoqualmie, WA, with sessions on the Friday and Saturday before the event; race-day pickup is available only if pre-paid and arranged. Drop bags will be transported to the finish. Entry prices listed are $159 for the marathon and $129 for the half; prices increase after December 30, 2025. No refunds, deferrals, or transfers are permitted except for volunteers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
