Course and logistics
The course runs along a scenic trail that includes passage through the Snoqualmie Tunnel and a gradual descent toward the Palouse Trail on hard-packed, shaded dirt and gravel. The marathon features a net drop of about 2,000 feet over 26.2 miles. Aid stations are located about every 2.5 miles and are stocked with water, Gatorade, and GU gels at select stops. Start waves use a rolling start staggered by pace groups with approximately one minute between waves.
Marathon runners must carry a light for the tunnel; runners mark and leave the light at the tunnel exit. Half marathon participants are transported by shuttle buses to the trailhead and then walk about 1 mile to the start; there is no parking at the half start, trailhead, or finish. Packet pickup is at Snoqualmie Running Company, and the race provides drop bag transport to the finish. The organizer’s stated refund policy allows no refunds, deferrals, or transfers except for volunteers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
