J-Town Jog 5K and Youth Mile : June 6, 2026
The J-Town Jog takes place on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Johnstown Reservoir - Lake Park, 149 Alabaster Way, Johnstown, CO 80534. The event includes the following distances:
- Youth 1 Mile
- 5K Run/Walk
Post-race activities at the park include music, food from local vendors, and other entertainment tied to Johnstown Barbeque Day. The course has moved from the historic downtown parade route to the reservoir area.
Timing, awards and participant benefits
The 5K is chip timed; a chip is attached to the back of the bib and chip time determines overall and age-division awards. Overall awards are given to the top three men and top three women. Age-division awards for the 5K are awarded to the top three men and women in these groups: 10 & below; 11-14; 15-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70-79; and 80 & over.
The Youth Mile is chip timed and awards are determined by clocked time at the finish line. Overall awards are given to the top three boys and top three girls (age 11 or younger). Age-division awards for the mile cover ages 6 & below through 11. All mile participants receive a ribbon for completing the race.
Registration and fees
Current listed prices are $22.20 (Youth 1 Mile, incl. $2.20 fee) and $32.80 (5K Run/Walk, incl. $2.80 fee). Prices increase after March 7, 2026. Online registration closes June 6, 2026 at 7:15 AM MST. In-person registration is available Friday, June 5 (5:00 - 7:30 PM MST) and Saturday, June 6 (6:15 - 7:15 AM MST) at the pavilion at the north end of Johnstown Reservoir. Registrations before May 16 include a commemorative t-shirt. A family and group discount of $2.50 off each registration is offered. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
