About the race
The ITC Club Race is a monthly triathlon event held at Port Kembla on Gloucester Boulevard. The event includes club and short club distances, plus a separate Kids Triathlon for under 12s. Races use a handicap format for the club and short club distances where start times are staggered so slower athletes start earlier and faster athletes start later.
The swim is an open water ocean swim of one or two laps with water safety provided. The bike is a return course along Gloucester Boulevard between Five Islands Secondary College and MM Beach, run on a closed road traffic-managed route with three or six laps. The run follows a one or two lap route on the footpath overlooking MM Beach and the five islands.
Distances:
- Club: 400 m swim / 13.2 km bike / 4.4 km run
- Short Club: 200 m swim / 6.6 km bike / 2.2 km run
ITC members and children in the Kids Triathlon may enter for free. Non-ITC adult entries include category fees for Triathlon Australia members and non-members. A race briefing is held before each race and a Kids Triathlon briefing covers swim, bike and run lengths. Parking is available at Five Islands Secondary College car park and along Gloucester Boulevard up to road closures. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
