Isle of Arran Ormidale 10k
The Isle of Arran Ormidale 10k is a measured road race of 10 km that starts and finishes at the Ormidale Sports Pavilion in Brodick, Isle of Arran. The course is flat, follows public roads and runs north along the coast for 5 kilometres before returning the same way. There are markers at each kilometre and a water station located at the 5 kilometre point.
Entries are by pre-entry only and have specific opening and closing dates. Entry fees are listed as £15 for non members and £13 for members of Scottish Athletics. All competitors must be at least 16 years old on the day of the race. Prizes will be presented in the standard categories where there are sufficient entries, and a team prize is available for teams of three.
Facilities at the Ormidale Pavilion include changing rooms, toilets, showers and baggage storage. Catering is available at various venues and hostelries in Brodick. The event holds a licence from Scottish Athletics. First aid cover will be confirmed prior to the event. The pavilion is approximately a 15 minute walk from Brodick Pier.
