Isle of Arran Ormidale 10k

The Isle of Arran Ormidale 10k is a road running event hosted by Arran Runners in Brodick. The race follows a flat route on public roads, starting and finishing at the Ormidale Sports Pavilion. The course consists of a 10 km distance that takes participants north along the coastline.

The route follows the main road for 5 kilometres before turning back to return along the same path. A short diversion is included to ensure the exact distance of 10 km is met. The course is marked at every kilometre interval. One water station is located at the 5 kilometre mark.

The event provides several amenities for participants at the Ormidale Pavilion, including toilets, showers, and changing facilities. Baggage storage is also available on-site. Prizes are awarded in standard categories and for teams of three, provided there are enough entries in the respective groups.

The event is open to participants aged 16 and older. Registration fees are set at £15, with a discounted rate of £13 for members of Scottish Athletics.

The Ormidale Sports Pavilion is located approximately a 15-minute walk from Brodick Pier. Travel to the island is possible via ferries from Ardrossan or Troon. These services connect with train arrivals at the ferry terminals to allow for arrival before the start of the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
