Isaiah 40:31 Run - Erwin, NC
The Isaiah 40:31 Run is the 16th annual event hosted by the Upper School Student Council to raise funds for a gift to the school. Proceeds from past events have funded a permanently mounted gym sound system, over 300 chairs with storage racks, a portable stage, and a portable sound system for the Praise and Worship Team. This year the goal is to support the purchase of a digital sign to be placed next to Highway 421.
Events take place at the school campus at 138 Erwin Chapel Rd, Erwin, NC 28339. The 5K follows a simple out-and-back route that begins in the student parking lot, turns onto Erwin Chapel Road, turns around at the stop sign at Prospect Church Road, and returns to the start/finish area. The 1-Mile Color Run is confined to the school campus and includes several turns. The 100-yard dashes will be held on the soccer field. Awards will be presented for the 5K and for the 1-Mile and 100-yard races.
All runners who enter either the certified 5K race or the 1-Mile Color Run receive a t-shirt. Participants who register by April 1 are guaranteed a t-shirt; after April 1 additional shirts will be available on race day on a first-come, first-served basis.
