Events
The Iroquois Hill Runners Thanksgiving Day Run is held on Thanksgiving Day. The event offers three distances:
- 5 Mile Run/Walk
- 5K with Stuffing Run/Walk
- 1.25 Mile Run/Walk
Location
The run takes place at Iroquois Park in Louisville. The roadways in the park are open during the event; participants on the back side of the park should use the pedestrian path.
Awards and Prizes
Awards and prizes are focused on the 5 Mile event. They include overall male and female cash prizes, age group awards for the top three finishers, prizes for the oldest male and female runners, and an award for the first stroller finisher. A costume contest is held for all participants. There is also $1000 in random drawing prizes awarded later in the morning; participants must be present to win.
Entry and Swag
The entry fee starts at $35 for early registration. Each entrant receives a long sleeve technical shirt and an entry into the prize drawing.
Logistics
Packet pickup is available on the Tuesday and Wednesday before the race at a local sports store. Race day packet pickup is also available but closes before the first event. Limited parking is available at Iroquois Amphitheater, with overflow parking at nearby locations.

Pets are allowed on the course if leashed; those with pets must start at the back. Beverages like coffee, hot chocolate, and apple cider are provided. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
