IRONMAN Cairns
IRONMAN Cairns is a full-distance triathlon event held at Cairns Airport in Cairns, Queensland, Australia. The event is scheduled for June 14, 2026, and is organised by IRONMAN. It takes place in Tropical North Queensland, where the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest meet.
The race course combines ocean swimming, a long coastal bike route, and a run along the city esplanade. Key race segments include:

The start uses a palm-tree lined, white sand beach at Palm Cove. The bike route runs on a completely closed coastal highway with views of the Great Barrier Reef. Reported typical conditions for the event include average water temperature around 23 °C and daytime air temperatures near 28 °C with cooler lows around 18 °C.
