Iron Will Backroads is an ultramarathon event held on May 29, 2027 in Enterprise, KS, organized by Iron Will Racing. The event offers multiple race distances and looped course formats.
Distances
- 100.35 miles - nine 11.15 mile loops
- 50 Mile - 50 mile distance
- 50K - 50 kilometer distance
The course runs mainly on gravel roads and a rail trail with very little asphalt. The rail trail portion is noted for having an active historic train along the trail. For the 100.35 mile option the loop format is nine repeats; there is a manned aid station at mile 6 of each loop.
Pacers are allowed starting on loop 6; only one pacer may accompany a runner at a time and all pacers must sign a waiver. All participants receive a tri blend shirt; registration by 05/01/2026 is listed as the guarantee date for receiving a shirt. Awards are given to male and female winners in each race and finisher buckles are provided to all finishers.
Listed entry fees in the event information are 50K $135, 50 Mile $170, and 100 Mile $250. Registration closes May 26. The event offers 100 percent deferrals within 30 days of the event without requiring a reason. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
