The Eisenhower Marathon is a road race held in Abilene, Kansas, centered around Old Abilene Town and the Dwight D. Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum. The event offers multiple race distances and publishes course maps and spectator maps for participants and supporters.
The course is certified and listed as a Boston Marathon qualifying course. It is described as mostly flat, composed of road and pavement surfaces, and organized as multiple out and back segments. Pacers are provided for the half and full marathon by a team called SmartPacers, who use pacing strategies and clock management to guide runners toward target finish times.
Packet pickup takes place the day before the event at Old Abilene Town and also on race day at Old Abilene Town. Parking is available at Old Abilene Town with additional parking north of Old Abilene Town at the Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum. Results are published after the race.
