Earth Day Buckle Mania
Earth Day Buckle Mania takes place in Abilene, KS from April 23 to April 25, 2027, and is organized by Iron Will Racing. The event offers timed 12 hour, 24 hour, and 48 hour race options.
The course is a certified 1.8228 mile paved loop through a mostly shaded private park. Runners complete repeated laps of the loop, and buckle awards are earned each time a runner reaches specified cumulative distances. Up to six buckles may be earned during an effort.
Lodging is included in the entry fee for the runner only and includes access to heated showers. Cabins, heated buildings, and RV hookups are available for crew and family; rates for nonrunner lodging are provided by the organizer.
Pacers are permitted after 12 hours of running. Muling is not allowed. Deferral requests must be made up to 30 days before the event and, if granted, are valid for one year only.
All runners receive a tri blend shirt. Buckles are awarded at specific cumulative distances and there are overall awards for the top female and top male in each race. Registrations completed by 4/1/2026 are guaranteed a shirt. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
