Earth Day Buckle Mania
Earth Day Buckle Mania is a timed ultrarunning event held April 23 to April 25, 2027 in Abilene, KS. The event is organized by Iron Will Racing and offers 12 hour, 24 hour, and 48 hour race options.
The course uses a certified 1.8228 mile paved loop through a mostly shaded private park. Races run repeatedly on this loop.
Buckles are awarded each time a runner reaches specific cumulative distances. The buckle distances are:
- 50K
- 50 Mile
- 100K
- 100 Mile
- 150 Mile
- 200 Mile
Lodging for the runner is included in the entry fee and is provided free for the runner only. Heated showers are available. Cabins, heated buildings, and RV hookups are available for crew and family; the race director can be contacted about rates.
Pacers are permitted after 12 hours. Muling is not allowed. Deferrals must be requested up to 30 days before the event and are valid for one year only.
All runners receive a tri blend shirt. To be guaranteed a shirt, registration must be completed by April 1, 2026. In addition to buckle awards, top female and top male finishers in each race receive overall awards. Registration closes April 20. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
