Earth Day Buckle Mania, April 23 to April 25, 2027
Earth Day Buckle Mania is a multi-day timed running event held in Abilene, Kansas. The event offers 12 hour, 24 hour, and 48 hour distance options that take place on a certified 1.8228 mile paved loop through a private, mostly shaded park. The loop is certified and paved, and runners complete repeated laps to accumulate distance.
Buckles are awarded when runners reach set distance milestones:
- 50K
- 50 Mile
- 100K
- 100 Mile
- 150 Mile
- 200 Mile
Lodging for the runner is included in the entry fee and is offered at no extra cost for the runner only; facilities include heated showers and on-site cabins, heated buildings, and RV hook ups. Crew and family rates are handled separately by the race director. Pacers are permitted after 12 hours of running and muling is not allowed. Deferrals must be requested up to 30 days before the event and are valid for one year. All participants receive a tri blend shirt. Top male and top female finishers in each race will receive overall awards. Shirts are guaranteed for registrations completed by April 1, 2026. Registration closes April 20 at 11:59 PM CT.
