Earth Day Buckle Mania, Abilene KS
Earth Day Buckle Mania is a multi-hour ultrarunning event held at a private park on 1943 Indy Road in Abilene, Kansas. The races are organized as timed events with 12 hour, 24 hour and 48 hour options run on a 1.8228 mile certified paved, mostly shaded loop.
Runners can earn a buckle each time they reach specific cumulative distances during the event, so multiple buckles are possible. Buckles are awarded at the following distances:
- 50K
- 50 Mile
- 100K
- 100 Mile
- 150 Mile
- 200 Mile
All entrants receive a tri blend shirt; registering by April 5, 2026 guarantees a shirt. Awards are presented to the top female and top male in each race category.
Lodging for the runner is included in the entry fee and heated showers are available. The venue also offers cabins, heated buildings, and RV hookups; the race director provides rates for crew and family. Pacers are permitted after 12 hours and muling is not allowed.
