Irchy Park Canicross
Irchy Park Canicross is a 5k canicross event held at Irchester Country Park on 7th February 2027. The course runs on a mix of grass, dirt and hard-packed tracks through woodland and will be fully waymarked with arrow signs. Trail shoes and a correctly fitting canicross harness are recommended.
Entries are open at a fee of £22 and the minimum competitor age is 14 years. Registration is based in a gazebo on the Little Meadow opposite the play park; entrants receive a race pack by email in the week of the event and timing numbers or chips are not posted out beforehand. Parking is available at the country park for £3.50 for up to 12 hours.
On-course support includes professional first aid positioned to access runners on the course and Race Harborough volunteers. The race uses a staggered start and competitors may run with up to two dogs. Results prizes include trophies for the first three male and female finishers, an event medal for all finishers and some special treats for dogs at the finish. Free digital race photos are provided after the event.
The event also offers entrants an opportunity to donate to local foodbanks supported by the organiser. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
