Larking Gowen Ipswich Half Marathon : Sunday 27 September 2026
The Larking Gowen Ipswich Half Marathon is a city-centre race organised by Run For All that starts and finishes at Portman Road Stadium in Ipswich. The route passes Holywells Park, runs along Ipswich Waterfront and the River Orwell, goes past the Strand and returns along Grafton Way to the stadium.
The event includes chip timing, a finisher's goody bag and an exclusive finisher's medal. Entrants may add a technical finisher t-shirt and an iTAB to their entry. Entrants must be 17 years or older on the day of the race.
Support on the course includes pacers with visible flags, water stations supplying 330 ml bottles and recycling bins at each water station, plus Applied Nutrition stations providing isotonic drinks and energy gels. First aid stations are located near water stations, with a first aid unit and recovery unit close to the finish and roaming first aiders in the Event Village.
The Event Village at Portman Road Stadium offers food and drink points, partner charities and baggage drop with a label system linked to race numbers. Photography is provided by MarathonPhotos on course, and massage services are available from a physiotherapy team. The event works with JogOn to collect unwanted trainers for reuse or recycling and encourages sustainable travel where possible. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
