Larking Gowen Ipswich Half Marathon - 27 September 2026
The Larking Gowen Ipswich Half marathon starts and finishes at Portman Road Stadium, home to Ipswich Town FC. The course passes down Duke Street, through Ipswich Waterfront, along Cliff Lane, around the River Orwell, then onto Wherstead Road and back along Grafton Way to the stadium finish.
Entrants must be 17 years or over on event day. Included with entry are chip timing, a finisher's goody bag, the option to pre-order a finisher t-shirt and iTAB, and an exclusive medal.
On course there will be water stations providing 330 ml bottles, plus High5 energy stations offering Zero tabs and energy gels; recycling bins are provided at water stations. Medical provision includes fixed first aid stations near water points, a first aid unit and recovery area close to the start and finish, and roaming first aiders. Pacers sponsored by Arla Protein will be available and will carry flags indicating target finish times.
Practical information covers baggage drop at a designated Baggage Store using the tear-off strip from the race number, allocated toilets around the stadium, event photography by MarathonPhotos, and published results after the event. Travel options include car, bus, rail and bike, and several car parks are located near the stadium; note that some car parks may be inaccessible during parts of the event.
