Larking Gowen Ipswich Half Marathon : Portman Road Stadium, Ipswich
The event is a half marathon that starts and finishes at Portman Road Stadium. The course passes down Duke Street, through Ipswich Waterfront, along Cliff Lane, around the River Orwell, onto Wherstead Road and back along Grafton Way before returning to the stadium.
Entrants must be 17 years or over on race day. Race numbers not posted to addresses outside the United Kingdom must be collected from the Race Office at Portman Road Stadium on the event weekend. Bags can be checked into a designated baggage store using the tear-off strip on the race number.
On-course provisions include water stations supplying 330 ml bottles, Applied Nutrition isotonic drinks and energy gels, and fixed first aid stations near water stations. There will also be a first aid unit and recovery area near the start and finish, plus roaming first aiders in the event village. Pacers sponsored by Arla Protein will run with flags indicating target finish times. Toilets will be provided around the stadium and a photography service will capture images on course.
The event village offers food and drink for purchase and space for partner charities. Results will be published on the event website after the race. Organisers provide recycling bins on course and drop-off stations for unwanted trainers to support local recycling. Bone conducting headphones are permitted if volume is kept low.
