Larking Gowen Ipswich Half Marathon - 27 September 2026
The event is a Half Marathon that starts and finishes at Portman Road Stadium in Ipswich. The course passes down Duke Street, through Ipswich Waterfront, along Cliff Lane, around the River Orwell, then onto Wherstead Road and back along Grafton Way before returning to the stadium.
Entrants must be 17 years or over on event day. Race numbers can be collected from the Race Office at Portman Road Stadium; the Race Office opens on the morning of the event. Race numbers will not be posted to overseas postal addresses unless a UK address is provided.
Included for entrants are chip timing, a finisher's goody bag, an option to pre-order a finisher t-shirt and iTAB engraving, and an exclusive medal. Pacers sponsored by Arla Protein will be available on course and will carry flags showing finish times. Water stations will supply 330 ml bottles and Applied Nutrition isotonic drinks and energy gels; recycling bins are provided at water stations. Fixed first aid stations are located near the water stations and a first aid unit and recovery area will be near the start and finish, with roaming first aiders around the Event Village.
Additional event services include a baggage store (use the tear-off strip on the race number), allocated toilets around the stadium, on-course photography by MarathonPhotos, post-event results online, massage services, and a JogOn trainer drop-off at the Race Office for recycled shoes. Bone conducting headphones are permitted if volume is kept low so marshals and emergency personnel can be heard. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
