Larking Gowen Ipswich Half Marathon
The event is a Half Marathon that starts and finishes at Portman Road Stadium, Ipswich. The course runs down Duke Street, through Ipswich Waterfront, along Cliff Lane, around the River Orwell, onto Wherstead Road and back along Grafton Way before returning to the stadium. Entrants must be 17 years or over on event day. The event is supported by local sponsors and partner charities.
Practical information
Included for entrants are chip timing, a finisher's goody bag, an option to pre-order a finisher t-shirt and iTAB, and an exclusive medal. Race numbers not received by post can be collected from the Race Office at Portman Road Stadium on event weekend. Race numbers will not be posted to participants who provided a postal address outside the UK; those participants must collect their number at the Race Office. Water stations will provide 330 ml bottles and High5 energy stations will supply Zero tabs and gels. First aid stations are located near water stations, and there will be a first aid unit and recovery area close to the start and finish. A designated Baggage Store is available; participants should use the tear-off strip on their race number and tie it to their bag handle. Recycling bins will be provided on course and at the event site, and trainer drop-off stations will be available near the Race Office for reuse programs. Toilets will be provided around the stadium.
