Event overview
The IPA Trail Runs take place on January 10, 2026 at Granite Beach, Folsom Lake SRA (8000 Douglas Blvd., Granite Bay, CA). The event features shoreline courses on well-marked single-track trails with scenic lake views. There are two distance options:
- 12K (7.5 miles)
- 5K (3.1 miles)
Details and logistics
Each entrant receives a commemorative item and access to local craft beer for participants aged 21 and over. Post-race provisions include hot soup or chili, fruit, cookies and a beverage. Commemorative shirts with men’s and women’s cuts are available for pre-order for $20.
Packet pick-up is available at the race site on race morning from 6:30 to 8:00 am. Awards include overall champion awards for first place male and female in each race and awards three deep in each ten-year age group.
Entry fees vary by date; listed ranges are $45–$55 for the 5K and $50–$60 for the 12K. The organizer’s refund policy does not provide cash refunds; requests before race week may receive a race credit minus a $25 processing fee. Transfers between events are allowed within one year for a $25 fee, except during race week. Organizers note a vehicle day-use charge for the park.
