IPA Trail Runs
The IPA Trail Runs take place Saturday, January 9, 2027, at Granite Beach in Folsom Lake State Recreation Area. The event uses well-marked single-track trails along the lake shoreline and provides scenic views from both courses.
Distances offered:
- 12K (7.5 miles)
- 5K (3.1 miles)
Each entry includes event items and post-race provisions. Runners receive a custom TBF SweatVac running hat and a commemorative IPA Beer Run glass, with local craft beer available for athletes over 21. A hot post-race meal is provided, including soup or chili, fruit, cookies and a beverage. Awards are presented three deep in each ten-year age group, and first place overall male and female awards are given in both races. Packet pickup is available on race morning.
Commemorative shirts in men’s and women’s cuts are offered for an additional fee when pre-ordered in early January. Entry fee tiers and a no-refund policy with race-credit and transfer options are stated by the organizer.
The venue is Granite Beach, Folsom Lake SRA, located at the end of Douglas Boulevard in Granite Bay, CA. There is a vehicle day-use charge for park access and an option for an annual pass for frequent visitors. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
