IOP Beach Run 2026 : Isle of Palms, SC
The IOP Beach Run is a multi-distance running and walking event held on the beach behind the Windjammer at 1008 Ocean Boulevard, Isle of Palms, SC. The course is entirely on flat, wide, hard-packed sand near low tide, with start and finish on the beach behind the Windjammer.
Event offerings include timed adult races and youth fun runs. Packet pickup is handled at the Windjammer prior to the event; online registration closes on Wednesday, July 22, 2026. Late registration is available during packet pickup and on race day at the Windjammer; late entries may be cash or check only. Guaranteed shirt sizes apply to registrations on or before Friday, June 19, 2026. Entry fees are non-refundable. The event is held rain or shine.
Parking is available in Isle of Palms Municipal Parking Lot B on Pavilion Drive; beach run parking passes are included with pre-registered packets or provided on race day as entrants enter the municipal lot. All runners and walkers will be timed. Participants may enter only one event and should run the distance for which they are registered; unreported changes may result in disqualification.
Awards are presented for the 5K and 10K overall and age groups; youth fun runs receive ribbons for all finishers. Results are posted online after the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
