Event Overview
The Inner Harbor 5K is a running event with three separate activities: a 5K, a 2k Peace Run for Brexi, and a Virtual 5k. It takes place in Syracuse, New York.
Course
The 5K course is USTAF-certified (NY23068DNB). It starts on Solar Street and finishes at the Syracuse Inner Harbor. The route is described as mostly flat and goes through Franklin Square and onto Creek Walk. The 2k Peace Run is also referred to as a children's run.
Event Schedule & Activities
Packet pickup is available on multiple days before the event at different locations, including Destiny Mall and Fleet Feet Syracuse. On the event day, packet pickup and registration are available at the Inner Harbor. A post-race festival includes massages, yoga, music, food trucks, and beer tasting.
Awards & Recognition
Awards are given to the overall top three male and female runners. Age group awards are also presented for the top three male and female finishers in multiple categories from 13 and under to 70 and above. Mid-pack awards are also mentioned.
Registration & Perks
The first 500 registered participants are guaranteed a shirt and medal. To ensure shirt size, registration by September 28 is required. The 2k Peace Run for Brexi has no registration fee. The main 5K and Virtual 5k have a registration price that increases after a specified date.
