The Ingatestone Five Mile Road Race, organized by the Ingatestone Boys' Own Club, is a popular annual running event celebrating its 40th year in 2025. The race features a scenic route starting from Little Hyde Lane and finishing at the Anglo-European School, taking participants through Fryerning and Beggar Hill. The event promotes personal achievement in a friendly atmosphere, with prizes awarded to top finishers in various categories, including men, women, veterans, and local residents.
