Event Overview
The Indiana Fall Classic is held on a Saturday in November at Hawthorn Park in Terre Haute, Indiana. It is presented by Graphic FX and organized by the Wabash Valley Road Runners club.
Distances
The event features two distances:
- A 10K (6.2 miles) run on trails within Hawthorn Park.
- A 1-mile fun run/walk open to youth and adults.
Event Details
Race day packet pick-up begins in the morning at Hawthorn Park. The 1-mile starts first, followed by the 10K approximately 40 minutes later. The start lines for the two events are in separate locations within the park, west of the Dogwood Shelter and west of the main park entrance, respectively.
Awards are given for overall, age group (5-year divisions), and walker categories. The event notes that participants registered as walkers should not run during their event. All 1-mile participants receive a finisher medal.
Post-race food includes chili at the Dogwood Shelter, with a vegetarian option available.
Venue and Parking
The event takes place at Hawthorn Park. Parking within the park is limited. Additional parking is available on the west side of the park entrance (which is part of the 10K course) and in a grass lot across the road from the entrance.
