Indiana Fall Classic
The Indiana Fall Classic is a community road and trail event held at Hawthorn Park in Terre Haute, Indiana. The event includes two distances:
- 10K (6.2 miles) through the trails of Hawthorn Park
- 1 mile fun run/walk for youth and adults
Race day packet pick-up is handled at Hawthorn Park. A course map is provided for the 10K. The 1 mile runners and walkers receive a finisher medal.
Awards are presented for overall placings, age group placings, and walkers. Age group awards are arranged in five year age groups. There is a costume contest and additional giveaways on race day; two costume winners are chosen (one by popular vote and one by the race director) and a third winner is selected by random bib draw. Winners must be present to claim prizes. Prize value for costume contest winners is at least $100 and awards are presented after medals have been distributed.
Post race food is available in the Dogwood Shelter, where chili is served. Parking inside Hawthorn Park is limited; additional grass parking is available across the road from the park entrance. Some parking areas are located on stretches of the 10K course and may be in use by participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
