Independence Day 5K/1K - Cumming, GA 2026
The event takes place on June 27, 2026 at Almon C. Hill Drive, 136 Almon C. Hill Drive, Cumming, GA 30040. It is the 11th annual Independence Day 5K and 1K event, held to coincide with America's 250th anniversary.

The listed 5K course is the same as the 2025 course, with start and finish at the same location and a downhill to flat finish. Packet pickup and on-site registration are located on Almon C. Hill Drive in front of the Almon C. Hill Center. There are several free parking areas off Tribble Gap Road within short proximity to the start and finish area.
T-shirt options are offered; participants registered by June 16 are guaranteed a T-shirt. Registrants may choose between a women's racerback tank or a unisex T. Registration fees vary by date with the 5K listed at $25 up to $30 depending on registration timing and the 1K listed from $15 to $20.
The event includes awards for overall winners, masters, and age group medals for first through third place in five year age increments from 10 and under through 70 and older. Proceeds aim to help local disadvantaged adolescents access cross country or school track programs. All race participants receive a 250th America anniversary die cast finishing medal.
