Independence Day 5K
Independence Day 5K takes place on July 4, 2026 in Aberdeen, Maryland. The course is certified and the event starts and finishes at Festival Park, 60 N. Parke St., Aberdeen, MD 21001.
Distances offered:
- 5K Run or Walk - 3.11 miles
- 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk - 1 mile, untimed
- Virtual 5K - 3.11 miles; scored separately and not eligible for awards
Live event registration opens January 1 and closes June 14. Virtual registration opens January 1 and closes July 4. Published fees are: 5K $30 per person with a price increase to $35 after June 15 and a race day fee of $40 if available; 1 Mile $25 per person with a price increase to $30 after June 15 and a race day fee of $35; Virtual 5K $35 per person.
Race packets for mailed and virtual entries are scheduled to be mailed approximately one week prior to the race. Early packet pickup details will be announced. Race day packet pickup will begin at the Festival Park Pavilion. Registrations may sell out prior to race day.
