Bound for Boston Marathon - Las Vegas
The Bound for Boston Marathon & Half Marathon is a specialized running event held at Sunset Park in Las Vegas. The competition is designed with a focus on pacing and performance, featuring a 1-mile loop that is flat and fast. This configuration is intended to assist participants in maintaining a consistent speed throughout the duration of the race.
The event offers several participation options:
- Marathon (26.2 Miles)
- Half Marathon (13.1 Miles)
- Virtual Marathon (26.2 Miles)
- Virtual Half Marathon (13.1 Miles)
The full marathon distance is USATF certified, serving as an official Boston Marathon qualifier. To ensure a focused environment, the in-person event is limited to a maximum of 75 participants. Support on the course includes an aid table stocked with water and electrolyte drinks. Runners are permitted to place personalized nutrition on these tables or utilize a personal cheer crew to provide fuel during the race.
All registrants receive a race shirt and a finisher medal. Awards are presented for both the marathon and half marathon distances based on standard five-year age group categories. For those participating in the virtual events, times must be submitted by the end of the race day, with medals and shirts shipped to the participants afterward.
