The Ilkley Moor Fell Race takes place on 1 March 2026 in Ilkley, West Yorkshire. The course is a fell route of 8 kilometres, one lap, with a hilly profile. The event is an AS category race and forms part of the FRA’s "50 at 50" series. The race holds an FRA licence (2026-9690) and has an entry limit of 400. The course is not suitable for wheelchairs.
Entry, rules and facilities
Entry opens 1 November 2025. Entry fees are £8.00 for affiliated runners and £10.00 for unaffiliated runners; on-the-day entry may be available for an additional £2.00 if the event has not sold out. Runners must be 16 or over on race day. Entrants under 18 who entered online must bring a completed FRA parental consent form to registration.
The event is run under FRA rules. Competitors must carry the FRA minimum kit, which includes a waterproof whole-body cover with taped seams and an integrated attached hood, hat, gloves and whistle. Use of GPS devices for navigation is forbidden and there will be random checks. There is a 1 hour cut-off at the Rocky Valley marshal point (about halfway); runners outside this limit will be asked to retire. Facilities at race HQ (Wells Road, Ilkley LS29 9RF; OS Grid Ref SE117471) include toilets only. There are no water stations, distance markers, changing facilities, showers or baggage store.
