Ilkley Incline 2026
The Ilkley Incline is an uphill only road-to-track race covering 1 mile with approximately 560 ft of climb. The route begins on tarmac and becomes a stony track, offering multi terrain, hilly running with views across the Wharfe Valley. The event is held in Ilkley, West Yorkshire, and is organised by Ilkley Harriers.
The race uses a single lap course and holds FRA category CS status. Entry is limited to 200 places. Entry fee is £4, with entry on the day available for an additional £1 if the event has not sold out. Prizes are awarded for first, second and third male and female finishers, plus age category prizes.
There are junior sprint relays for teams of four, with team entry charged on the day. Under 18s must bring a signed parental consent form. Facilities at the race are limited: no water, no distance markers, no toilets, no changing facilities, no showers and no baggage storage. Race headquarters are at the junction of Wells Road and Keighley Gate Road. The course is not suitable for wheelchairs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
