Event Overview
The Ilkley Incline is a multi-terrain running event located in Ilkley, West Yorkshire. This competition is a 1 mile, uphill-only race that follows a route gaining 560ft in elevation. The surface begins on a tarmac road before transitioning into a stony track. Upon reaching the finish, participants can see views across the Wharfe Valley.
The race is categorized as an FRA category CS event and is open to both road and trail runners. Due to the terrain and significant incline, the course is not suitable for wheelchairs. The event has a total entry limit of 200 participants. Registration takes place on the grass near Wells Road.

Organizers award prizes to the first, second, and third-place male and female finishers, along with awards for various age categories. In addition to the main race, junior sprint relays for teams of four are held at the site.
Logistics and Facilities
The race headquarters is situated at the junction of Wells Road and Keighley Gate Road. There are no water stations, distance markers, toilets, or changing facilities provided on the course or at the site. There is also no baggage storage or shower facility available.
