Ilkley Incline 2026
The Ilkley Incline is a 1 mile uphill-only race organised by Ilkley Harriers in Ilkley, West Yorkshire. The course gains approximately 560 ft of climb and offers views across the Wharfe Valley. The route begins on tarmac road and then becomes a stony track. The race is classed as FRA category CS and is a single lap multi terrain course; it is not suitable for wheelchairs.
Entry is limited to 200 places. The published entry fee is £4, with an additional £1 for on the day entry if the event has not sold out. Registration takes place on the grass by Wells Road, with race headquarters at the junction of Wells Road and Keighley Gate Road.
Facilities are minimal: there is no water, no distance markers, no toilets, no changing facilities, no showers, and no baggage storage. Prizes are listed for first, second and third male and female finishers, plus age category prizes, and prize giving is held after the race.
A separate junior event of sprint relays is organised for teams of four with a £6 per team on the day entry. Under 18s must bring a signed parental consent form as required by the FRA. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
