Ilkley Incline 2026

The Ilkley Incline is a one mile, uphill-only race held in Ilkley, West Yorkshire. The course gains approximately 560 ft of climb and runs from a tarmac road onto a stony track, giving a multi terrain, hilly profile over a single lap. The route provides views across the Wharfe Valley.

The event is organised by Ilkley Harriers with race headquarters at the junction of Wells Road and Keighley Gate Road. It holds FRA category CS and carries a race licence number 2025-8806. Entry is limited to 200 places and the standard entry fee is £4.00; if the event does not sell out, entry on the day is available for an additional £1.00.

Prizes are awarded to the first three male and female finishers plus age category prizes. A junior sprint relay event for teams of four is held separately with an on the day team entry fee of £6.00. Under 18s must bring a signed parental consent form.

The race is not suitable for wheelchairs. There are no water stations, distance markers, toilets, changing facilities, showers or baggage storage at the venue. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
