Ilkley Incline 2026
The Ilkley Incline is an uphill only, one mile race held in Ilkley, West Yorkshire. The route gains 560 ft of climb and begins on tarmac road before continuing on a stony track. The course is multi terrain with a clear hilly profile and consists of a single lap.
Entry carries a fee of £4.00 and the event has an entry limit of 200 places. Race headquarters are at the junction of Wells Road and Keighley Gate Road, and registration takes place on the grass by Wells Road. The organiser is Ilkley Harriers. The event is not suitable for wheelchairs.
Prizes are awarded to the first, second and third male and female finishers, with additional age category prizes. A junior sprint relays event for teams of four is also part of the programme, with team entry charged at £6 on the day only. Under 18s are required to bring a signed parental consent form.
Facilities are limited: there are no water stations, no distance markers, no toilets, no changing facilities, no showers and no baggage storage. Road and trail runners take part on the same route.
