Idaho Running Day (Boise, October 17, 2026)
Idaho Running Day is a multi-distance road event held along the Boise Greenbelt, running from Lucky Peak Reservoir toward southeast Boise with views of the Boise River. The event uses Sandy Point Park as the start and finish area in Boise.
Distance options:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half Marathon (13.1)
- Marathon (26.2)
All participants receive locally designed medals and athletic shirts. Real-time chip results will be used and a post-race festival with food trucks will follow the finish. Aid stations are placed about every 2–3 miles on the 10K, half marathon, and marathon courses and will offer Gu chews, gels, waffles, and Tailwind hydration. A porta-potty unit will be located at each aid station and additional restrooms at Sandy Point Park include ADA-compliant facilities.
Packet pickup is offered at Fleet Feet locations prior to race day and there is limited race-day pickup at the start/finish. A race-day shuttle is provided; shuttle registration closes on October 8. Parking at Sandy Point main lot carries a fee and additional parking is available at Lucky Peak State Discovery Unit, roughly a 10–15 minute walk to the start area.
Gear drop is available near the start/finish; dropped bags must be labeled with bib numbers and picked up after the event. The event includes team scoring and cash prizes for clubs based on registration thresholds. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
