The festival hosts in-person and virtual running races in 2026 on the shores of Gimli, Manitoba. The event program includes multiple distances with local routes and a road course from Winnipeg Beach to Gimli.

The 5 km race is held at Gimli Pavilion Park, east side at the corner of Amisk and Fifth Avenue. First-place male and female finishers receive prizes. The in-person 5 km is part of the Interlake Run Series. Virtual participants may submit times between 19 July and 3 August 2026 to have their results listed.
The 1 mile (Jan's Memorial) is presented as a fun, accessible event; registration on race day is possible and reduced entry fees apply for some categories.
The 10 mile is accredited by the Manitoba Runners Association and runs from Winnipeg Beach to Gimli on Highway 9. The route has been largely unchanged for decades and is described as fast and flat. Age-group awards for first-place male and female finishers are listed for 19 and under, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69 and 70 plus.
