2026 Islendingadagurinn : Icelandic Festival of Manitoba Running Races
The event includes in-person and virtual races held in Gimli, MB, Canada, as part of the Icelandic Festival of Manitoba. The 2026 editions listed are the 58th for the 10 Mile, the 8th for the 5 Kilometer, and the 35th for the 1 Mile.

The 5 Kilometer race is based at Gimli Pavilion Park, east side at the corner of Amisk and Fifth Avenue, and is part of the four-race Interlake Run Series around the lake area between Lake Winnipeg and Lake Manitoba. Prizes are awarded to the first place male and female finishers in the 5 Kilometer.
The 10 Mile route runs from Winnipeg Beach to Gimli on Hwy 9. It is accredited by the Manitoba Runners Association and the route is described as essentially unchanged for about fifty years with a generally flat profile.
The Jan's Memorial 1 Mile Fun Run allows race day registration and has lower entry fees. Age group awards are listed for the 10 Mile with categories from under 19 through 70 plus.
