Grand Beach Sun Run
The Grand Beach Sun Run offers road races and a fun run at Grand Beach Parking 2 and 3 in Grand Marais, Manitoba. The event is presented by New Age HVAC Ltd. and is sanctioned by the Manitoba Runners' Association; it is included in the MRA Celebration Series, MRA Youth Series, and MRA Classic Race Series.
Distances offered:
- 3 km Fun Run
- 5 km road race
- 10 km road race
Medals will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each gender category across all age groups. A cash prize of $100 will be awarded to the top runner in each gender category for the 3 km, 5 km and 10 km races. All races use chip timing and chips must be worn on the running shoe.
Registration proceeds support the Grand Beach Community Club and Medical Centre. Race kit pick up is scheduled as follows: Thursday, August 13 at City Park Runners from 5 - 7 PM; Friday, August 14 at Grand Beach Community Club from 6:30 - 9 PM; Saturday, August 15 at Grand Beach (West Beach) Parking Lot 2 from 7 - 8 AM. Participants are advised to arrive early as park access may close for safety and to use Parking Lot 1. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
