Event overview
The Icebox 480/240 is a timed running challenge held Saturday, November 7, 2026, at Whitetail Ridge in River Falls, WI. Participants aim to accumulate as many miles as possible on a single-track loop course. Runners may choose between a 4-hour challenge or an 8-hour challenge. In the final hour only, a shorter 1-mile loop (1.05 miles) is available as an option. Participants record their start and finish times on a public display board and are responsible for tracking their own loop times as they return.

Drop bags may be kept at the start area. The event is cupless; participants should bring a personal water container to refill at aid stations. Pacers are not allowed. Crews are permitted but may only provide aid at aid stations or the drop bag area. Parking is permitted only on nearby streets; business parking lots are not allowed. There is no immediate camping at the site; Willow River State Park is mentioned as a nearby camping option about 14 miles away. The race director may delay, suspend, or cancel the event for dangerous conditions; the organizer states no refunds or transfers will be allowed.
