Hyrox Simulation - Kilmaurs
The 23rd Hyrox simulation takes place at Fit Body Farm in Kilmaurs, Ayrshire. This non-competitive event is designed to replicate the structure of a live Hyrox competition, catering to participants who are preparing for a sanctioned race as well as those looking for a functional fitness workout.
The event features a variety of registration categories to accommodate different ages and fitness preferences:
- Individual: Open or Pro divisions for participants aged 16 and over.
- Doubles: Includes Men’s Open, Men’s Pro, Women’s Open, Women’s Pro, and Mixed teams.
- Half Individual: Features half the standard distance and repetitions at each station with 500 m runs in between.
- Kids: Specific divisions for ages 10-11 and 12-15.
- Alternative Options: Full stations with half runs or a bike option instead of running are available.
The simulation covers all standard functional stations. Participants can expect on-site assistance from helpers who monitor exercise form and provide repetition counting for specific stations like wall balls. First-time participants receive a finisher patch upon completion. The event utilizes a rolling schedule that includes specialized categories such as Mens Pro, Womens Pro, and various doubles configurations throughout the day.
Located at Wheatrig Farm, the venue was Scotland's first Hyrox partner facility. The simulation aims to provide a structured environment for functional fitness testing across various age groups and ability levels through its multiple division formats.
