About the race
HYROX Cardiff takes place from 20 May 2027 to 29 May 2027 at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff and closes the 2026/27 season. The event is staged inside the stadium and features on-site race operations across the race weekend. The event package includes a HYROX finisher patch, live posting of result times on the leaderboard during competition, and individual finisher times with split timings for each workout. Age group award ceremonies are held after each division has completed, and certain age groups can qualify for World Championship slots.
Aid stations are provided before, during and after the course. Spectators can view racing from the Thunderdome and the venue hosts a HYROX Entertainment Zone and professional photography opportunities. Athlete registration and attendance details are provisional and will be confirmed closer to the event. On-site registration for each division opens 90 minutes before the first start wave of that division.
Athletes must present a physical copy of ID when checking in; checking in on behalf of others is not allowed. At registration athletes receive an athlete wristband, a venue access wristband, an ankle strap and timing chip, and a bib number. Competing is not possible without these items. Sportograf provides official race photos using facial recognition and makes images available about 48 hours after the race.
The event offers Flex Lite and Flex Add-On options with specific name change and refund rules, and Race for Impact charity entries require fundraising commitments of £400 for a solo entry or £800 for a double entry.
