Distances
The event offers two trail running distances:
- 50K (31 miles)
- 25K (15.5 miles)
Course and Cut-offs
The course is described as remote, with very limited spectator access. The 25K has aid stations and strict cut-off times to ensure a 9-hour finish. The 50K has cut-offs to ensure a 10-hour finish; runners not reaching the mile 7.5 checkpoint by a specific time will be directed onto the 25K course. Road race experience does not count as a qualifier for the 50K, which is not intended for beginners.
Registration and Rules
Registration is handled through an external platform. The organizer has a strict policy: there are no refunds, deferrals, bib switches, transfers, or bandits. The event is organized by the PA Trail Dogs, who also organize other trail races in Pennsylvania.
Event Details
Bib pickup is available the day before the event and on race morning. The event takes place in Hyner, Pennsylvania. Spectator access is very limited; for the 25K, the only accessible aid station is Hyner View State Park at mile 4. For the 50K, accessible areas are Hyner View State Park at mile 3 and Hyner Run State Park at mile 10/25. There is no electricity or water available at the site, so participants must fill their packs or bottles before arriving. An ice trailer will be on site.
