About the race
The Hudson Valley Hawks 4th Annual Holiday Kick‑Off 5K is held on November 14, 2026, at L. Vern Allen Park in Washingtonville, New York. The event includes a chip timed 5K run/walk and a separate kids fun run.

- 100 yards (kids, 10 and under)
The 5K course begins at Vern Allen and proceeds on Ahern Blvd toward Woodfield Park, makes a loop on Highgrove and Hopkins, and returns to Vern Allen via Ahern Blvd. Medals are awarded by age group: Under 10; 10-12; 13-15; 16-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70-75; 76 and over.
The kids fun run is a 100 yard dash for participants 10 and under; prizes are awarded to all participants. The event benefits the Hudson Valley Hawks 12U Black Team for their trip to the Cooperstown Dreams Park Experience in August 2026. Registration fees listed for the events are $40 for the 5K and $10 for the kids run. Participants who register by November 1 are listed to receive a race T shirt. Festive attire is encouraged.
