Memorial 5K at Bowdoin Park
This memorial running event takes place on November 8, 2026 at Bowdoin Park in Wappingers Falls, NY. It is organized by Grass Roots Running together with the Mid-Hudson Road Runners Club and supports charitable causes related to brain tumor research, local family resources, and a scholarship fund.

Registration details vary by option. Registration opens January 17, 2026 for most options. Listed fees include a $25 in-person 5K registration amount, virtual options listed at $35 (no t-shirt) and $40 (t-shirt), and a free kids 1-mile entry. Some registration windows close October 15, 2026 or November 7, 2026 depending on the option. T-shirts are guaranteed only for participants who register by October 25, 2026.
A short post-race 400-meter all-out dash follows the 5K as an extra test of speed and turnover. The 5K includes age-group awards and overall awards for male and female finishers, with specific age brackets and top-three placements across multiple age groups. The kids 1-mile has overall awards for boys and girls.
All proceeds are designated for the American Brain Tumor Association, the local non-profit GlioLeo, and the Our Lady of Lourdes scholarship established in memory of the honored coach. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
