Memorial 5K at Bowdoin Park
This event is a memorial 5K timed running race with an in person option at Bowdoin Park in Wappingers Falls, NY, plus a virtual 5K and a free kids 1 mile for children age 12 and under. Registration opens January 17, 2026. Discounted in person 5K registration is listed at $25 through October 15, 2026, increases to $30 through November 7, 2026, and is $35 on race day. The virtual 5K fee is listed at $40 through October 15, with a higher fee afterward. The kids 1 mile is free.

All proceeds will support the American Brain Tumor Association, a local nonprofit called GlioLeo, and a scholarship fund established at Our Lady of Lourdes. Awards are planned for overall male and female finishers, overall youth categories, and age group awards with top three in groups from under 12 up to 80 plus. A short 400 meter all out effort will follow the 5K as a light bonus activity. T shirt sizes are only guaranteed for registrations completed by October 25, 2026.
Previous editions reported around 300 participants, 26 sponsors, more than 40 volunteers, and over seven thousand dollars raised for the chosen charities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
