Huron River Run/Walk 5K
The Huron River Run/Walk 5K is a community road race held on July 11, 2026 in Huron, Ohio, with the start and finish at the Huron River Pier located at the corner of Main Street and Wall Street. The course runs through Huron's Old Plat and Oklahoma neighborhoods.
There is one water station on the route at the 1.5 mile marker near Huron High School. A kids' fun run is scheduled the same morning with race day registration only; children pay a nominal fee and receive a race bib as a keepsake.
Early bird online registration opens March 2, 2026 and guarantees a race shirt if completed by midnight on June 26, 2026. Early registration is listed at $20 per participant; online and day of registration after the early date is listed at $25 and a race shirt is not guaranteed.
Finisher awards include plaques for overall male and female finishers and medals for the top three participants in each five year age category. Top three finishers are recognized in each age group, with age brackets beginning at 11 and younger and extending up to age 99. Proceeds support Huron's 2026/2027 Track and Field and Cross Country scholarship programs. The race is held during the weekend of Huron's River Festival.
