Huron River Run/Walk 5K
The event is a community 5K running and walking race on July 11, 2026, held in Huron, Ohio, with the course starting and ending at the Huron River Pier at the corner of Main St. and Wall St., in front of the Pier Pub. The route passes through Huron's Old Plat and Oklahoma neighborhoods and includes a single water station at the 1.5 mile marker located at Huron High School.
Registration details include an early registration price of $20 with a guaranteed race shirt if completed by June 26, 2026, and a later online and day-of registration price of $25 with shirts not guaranteed. Team entry is listed at $30. Registration opens March 2, 2026 and closes July 2, 2026. A kids' fun run takes place later in the morning with race day registration at $1 per child; participating children receive a race bib keepsake.
Awards are planned for the top three finishers in each listed age group: Ages 1-11, 12-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-70, 70-99. Male and female overall finishers receive plaques and medals are awarded to the top three in each five-year age category.
