Huron River Run/Walk 5K
The Huron River Run/Walk 3.1 Miles is a community road event held in Huron, Ohio on July 11, 2026. The course starts and finishes at the Huron River Pier near 38 Main St., and runs through the Old Plat and Oklahoma neighborhoods. The event is scheduled during the weekend of Huron's River Festival.
There is one water station on the route at the 1.5 mile marker located at Huron High School. A kids' fun run takes place after the main event as a separate short run with race day registration only; children register for a nominal fee and receive a keepsake bib.
Early bird online registration is available through June 26, 2026 at an entry fee of $20.00 per participant; registrants by that date are guaranteed a race shirt. After that date online and day-of registration fees increase to $25.00 per participant and a shirt is not guaranteed. Total team entry fee is $30.00. Registration opens March 2, 2026 and closes July 2, 2026.
Awards are presented to the top three finishers in each age category. Age categories listed include Ages 1-11, 12-14, 15-19, and successive five year brackets up to 70-99. Male and female overall finishers receive plaques, and medals are awarded to the top three in each five year age category.
The event is part of the 2025 Huron 5K Challenge Series and proceeds support Huron's 2026/2027 Track and Field and Cross Country scholarship programs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
