Huntington West Virginia Turkey Trot
The Huntington West Virginia Turkey Trot takes place on Thursday, Nov. 26, 2026, at Ritter Park in Huntington, West Virginia. The event includes a 5K run/walk and a race shirt only option. It is the 20th edition of the annual Turkey Trot at this location.
Participants may bring children, dogs, and strollers. T-shirt registration has a cutoff on Nov. 15; registrations after that date do not include a shirt. Packet pickup and on-site donation collection are part of the event operations.
Proceeds benefit Little Victories Animal Rescue, a no-kill shelter and sanctuary in Ona, West Virginia. Little Victories cares for more than 55 dogs and 35 cats at a time and provides shelter, medical care, enrichment, rehabilitation, adoption and foster programs, and sanctuary for long-term or special-needs residents.
The event materials note sponsors at various levels and that donations of needed items will be collected during packet pickup and on race day. A course map is provided by the organizers for the 5K route. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
