Huntington West Virginia Turkey Trot
The Huntington West Virginia Turkey Trot takes place on Thursday, November 26, 2026, at Ritter Park in Huntington, West Virginia. The event marks the 20th annual running of this Thanksgiving morning tradition and benefits Little Victories Animal Rescue.
The event program includes:
- 5K Run/Walk
- Race Shirt Only
T-shirt registration cutoff is November 15; registrations after that date do not include a shirt. The 5K registration fee is listed as $30 and the Race Shirt Only option is listed as $25. Participants are asked to bring a bag of dog or cat food; food and other shelter supplies will be collected during early packet pickup and on race morning.
Proceeds support Little Victories Animal Rescue, a no-kill shelter and sanctuary in Ona, West Virginia, which provides shelter, medical care, enrichment, rehabilitation, adoption and foster programs, and lifelong sanctuary for animals in need. A commemorative 20th anniversary ornament is available in the event store as a keepsake for this milestone year. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
