Hunters Moon Hooves and Heels Run
The Hunters Moon Hooves and Heels Run is a community running event in Calvert, Texas on October 10, 2026, hosted by Calvert Main Street Preservation. The event takes place at 700 Railroad Street, at the corner of Railroad and Hanna.
Distances offered:
- 5K timed race
- 3K color run/walk
- 1K kids run/walk
Entry fees are listed per event. Paid entries include an event T-shirt and swag bag, plus complimentary pre-race and recovery refreshments for all race participants. Custom medals are awarded in the 5K and the 1K; the 5K also offers cash and custom medals to the top three overall male and female finishers age 19 and over. The 5K awards medals in multiple age divisions: Open, 10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 and over. In the Kids 1K the top five boys and top five girls receive custom medals.
The 5K and the Kids 1K use chip timing. The 3K Color Run/Walk follows a scenic route past Victorian homes; strollers are welcome. Kids under 5 may participate free with a parent but are not eligible for a complimentary event T-shirt or swag bag.
Registration opens May 1, 2026; registration closes August 16, 2026. To be guaranteed an event T-shirt and size, participants must be registered before September 26, 2026. There is no rain date and no refunds for the 5K, 3K, or 1K. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
