Hunters Moon "Hooves & Heels" Run - Calvert, TX
The Hunters Moon "Hooves & Heels" Run is a community event organized by Calvert Main Street Preservation, a 501(c)(3) Texas nonprofit, held in Calvert, Texas on October 10, 2026. The venue is listed as 700 Railroad Street at the corner of Railroad and Hanna.
The event program includes these distances:
- 5K Timed race, chip-timed.
- 3K Color Run/Walk, casual color run through a scenic area.
- 1K Kids run/walk for ages 5 to 10.
Entry fees listed for paid entries are $30.00 for the 5K, $30.00 for the 3K, and $25.00 for the Kids 1K. Each paid entry includes an event T-shirt and a swag bag. All race participants receive complimentary pre-race and recovery refreshments. Custom medals are awarded in the 5K and the Kids 1K, with additional awards noted below.
Additional event details: the 5K awards cash and custom medals to the top three overall male and female finishers ages 19 and over, and custom medals for first, second, and third place finishers across eleven age divisions (Open Div, 10 & U, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+). The Kids 1K awards custom medals to the top five boys and top five girls. The 3K route highlights Victorian homes and notes that children age five and under participate free with a parent but are not eligible for a free T-shirt with that free entry. Strollers are welcome.
