Polish Pickle Run : Bremond, Texas
The Polish Pickle Run is an annual community running event held in Bremond, Texas as part of Bremond Polish Festival Days. The event for 2026 takes place on Saturday, June 27, 2026. The main course is an out and back 5K with rolling hills that begins on Main Street in front of The Bremond Press. The program also includes a shorter Kids K run.
- 5K with Clydesdale and Filly divisions
- Kids K for children
Awards include cash prizes for the top three overall male and female finishers and category awards for Masters, Seniors, Veterans, and Clydesdale/Filly divisions. An additional cash bonus is available for breaking published course records. Age-group medals are awarded in multiple adult divisions, and medals are awarded to the top five boys and top five girls in the Kids K. All entrants receive T-shirts. A drawing for prizes follows the race; top prizes have included a live heifer calf or a cash alternative and bales of hay, and winners must be present to claim those prizes. Local refreshments are provided.
The Polish Pickle Run Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit. Since January 2021 the organization has donated over $14,000 to local groups and individuals, including scholarships totaling $3,500 to Bremond High School Seniors and support for community programs.
