Event Overview
The Humboldt Redwoods Marathon takes place in Weott, California, within the Humboldt Redwoods State Park. Participants navigate a course surrounded by old-growth redwood trees that tower over the running path. The event serves as a Boston Marathon qualifier and all courses hold USATF certification.
The race offers three distinct distances for participants:
- Marathon (26.2 Miles)
- Half Marathon (13.1 Miles)
- 5K Run (3.1 Miles)
The Half Marathon route follows the second half of the Avenue of the Giants Marathon course. All events start and finish at the Dyerville Bridge. The marathon and half marathon share the same start date, followed by the 5K run later that morning. The environment is characterized by its natural forest setting and significant timber growth along the road. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
